Physical Chemistry: Includes Atomic Structure (subatomic particles, orbitals, and ionisation energy), Chemical Bonding (ionic, covalent, and metallic), Stoichiometry (moles and reacting masses), Energetics (enthalpy changes and Hess's Law), Equilibria, and Reaction Kinetics. Inorganic Chemistry: Focuses on Periodicity (trends in Period 3), Group 2 (Alkaline Earth Metals), Group 17 (Halogens), and the chemistry of Nitrogen and Sulfur. Organic Chemistry: Introduces Hydrocarbons (alkanes and alkenes), Halogen Compounds, Hydroxy Compounds (alcohols), Carbonyls, and Organic Synthesis. Analysis: Basic Analytical Techniques including infra-red spectroscopy and mass spectrometry for identifying molecules.
